Regulatory Permissions

Ever North Limited holds FCA permissions to carry on the following regulated activities:

Consumer Duty

Ever North Limited is committed to full compliance with the FCA's Consumer Duty (PS22/9), which came into force on 31 July 2023. The Consumer Duty requires firms to act to deliver good outcomes for retail customers.

Our Consumer Duty framework covers the four outcome areas:

  • Products and services — ensuring our AR package and mortgage products meet the needs of the target market
  • Price and value — ensuring our fees and income arrangements represent fair value to customers and ARs
  • Consumer understanding — ensuring all communications are clear, fair, and not misleading
  • Consumer support — ensuring clients and ARs receive appropriate support throughout their relationship with us

As a principal firm, Ever North is responsible for ensuring that its appointed representatives also comply with Consumer Duty requirements. We provide training, oversight, and guidance to support ARs in meeting these obligations.

AR Oversight Responsibilities

Under FCA rules (SYSC 12 and the Appointed Representatives Regime), Ever North as principal firm is responsible for ensuring that its appointed representatives comply with FCA requirements in carrying on regulated activities.

Our AR oversight programme includes:

  • Pre-appointment due diligence and fit and proper assessment
  • Ongoing monitoring of AR conduct and case quality
  • Regular file reviews and compliance audits
  • Annual formal compliance review for each AR
  • SMCR certification and conduct rules oversight
  • Consumer Duty compliance monitoring
  • RegData submission oversight

Complaints Procedure

Step 1 — Complain to Ever North

In the first instance, please send your complaint in writing to:

We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 8 weeks.

Step 2 — Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS)

If you are not satisfied with our response, or if we have not resolved your complaint within 8 weeks, you may refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) — free of charge.

FSCS Coverage

Important note on FSCS coverage: The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) may cover claims in certain circumstances.

Mortgage advice is generally not covered by the FSCS (unlike deposits or investments). However, protection insurance products arranged through Ever North or its ARs may carry FSCS protection. Please contact us or visit www.fscs.org.uk for details on whether your specific product or claim is eligible for FSCS protection.

Data Protection & ICO Registration

Ever North Limited is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
